Views (Average Weekly Views)
This metric tracks how many views a trend receives per week based on the past four weeks. Trend momentum can be gauged by observing changes in weekly views—rising numbers may indicate increasing user interest, while declining views can suggest that a trend is tapering off.

Paid Views

A higher percentage of paid views often indicates that more brands are investing in the trend, while a lower percentage suggests organic traction with less competition.

Sentiment Score
This metric evaluates audience reactions to trends by analyzing the tone of user comments. Spate’s AI scans comments on TikTok content related to a trend, assigning each a positive, neutral, or negative score. These individual scores are compiled into an overall sentiment score, measured on a scale from 1 to 10—where 1 indicates highly negative sentiment and 10 represents highly positive sentiment. This allows brands to quickly gauge how well a trend is resonating with audiences at scale.
- Positive Sentiment (8–10) – The trend is well-received, with a majority of favorable comments and strong, encouraging engagement.
- Mixed Sentiment (4–7) – Audience reactions are mixed, showing no strong lean toward positive or negative sentiment.
- Negative Sentiment (1–3) – The trend receives mostly critical or unfavorable responses, indicating potential backlash or low user resonance.
Each video will also display a small icon and sentiment score at the bottom, showing the specific sentiment for that piece of content. A brief summary of the video’s top comments will be included as well, providing quick context into why the sentiment is trending in that direction.
